Amazing New Promo!

Okay, so there was another new promo (aside from what I described) that's now up at HBO's site and it's stunning. Great use of soundtrack. Click here and continuously drop jaw in excitement.

First Promo Has Aired!

For those of you that have been watching the pacific and stayed after the credits, HBO aired a small, behind-the scenes clip from the seventh season. And...

...it was appropriately awesome. Since I'd rather not ruin too much of the promo (since it's all we'll get for a little bit), it showed off the plot of the first episode with some snaps of Ari, Drama, Turtle and E getting a bit confrontational on the set of Vince's new film over a certain stunt. Oh, and Nick Cassavetes-- director of The Notebook -- will be guest starring. Once HBO's site has it up, it'll be linked.

And, appropriately enough, they are unequivocally stunning. Okay, so they feature the same characters we've been watching for five years in the same clothes they've been wearing for the past five years, but still, it's nice to see the old gang back together. Click here for them.

Since the premiere is drawing ever close (about a month away), I've been meaning to finally -- and I emphasize finally -- put together a list of the top ten Entourage episodes.

Entourage -- Season Six -- DVD Release

As usual, the DVD of season six will be released just five days before the seventh's premiere. You can view the box art above and head over here to Amazon to pre-order. Season six isn't as good as the season five, mainly because of too many sub plots, but Ellin took a risk with the ending and I respect that. E's engaged. The entourage could be breaking up.

Season seven, come faster. I need answers.

Blige subplot really, really worked in season four (and came along just when it needed to), so I'm anticipating the return of Ari trying to wrangle another client to the Miller Gold Agency.

Episode One: Stunted

And here it is, our first official synopsis from the premiere, entitled Stunted:

The director of Vince's latest action film talks his star into doing his own driving stunt, agitating both Eric and Ari. Turtle's attraction to an underperforming employee named Alex threatens to damage his fledgling car service business. Ari looks to add to his resume as "the biggest agent in the world" by eying an alliance with the NFL. Worried that his holding deal is about to expire, Drama pressures Lloyd, now his agent, to land him a project.

Entourage Premiere Date: June 27th, 2010

Yes, you're correct, I feel like the biggest asshole on planet Earth for not repeating this news from the highest mountain in all of the world: Entourage is coming back to our television screens on June 27th.

Commence bereavement that inevitably sees me curling up in the fetal position.

Kevin Connolly Directing An Episode!

Awesome.

TV Guide's Keck had the exclusive, and according to Doug Ellin, Connolly will be directing at least one episode this season. I honestly can't wait and even if Connolly never reads this, and he most likely won't, I have the utmost faith he'll do stellar work.

Sasha Grey Cast as Vince's Girlfriend!

As if you didn't want to be Vincent Chase any more, hear comes the news that Sasha Grey,a porn star and actress (she was really fantastic in The Girlfriend Experience -- her breakout role in Steven Soderbergh's film), has a taken as role this season as... Vince's... wait for it... girlfriend. Whew. That was tough to write. TV Guide has the full exclusive here, but I have a feeling this will really shake things up.

The article also mentions an interesting tidbit on Entourage's last season and Grey: she could be sticking around.

Entourage Filming Report

...And here's our first official report, compiled by yours truly, of everything that's happening in season seven world:

• According to TV Guide, Vincent Chase will experiencing a nasty spat with the director of his new film, apparently over the buzzcut Grenier was recently sporting while filming.
  

• Which I should probably talk about. Now -- and just to make this clear -- I don't have inside information on the catalyst for Vince's new dew, but in utter speculation mode, I'd say it's Vince trying to live life to the fullest. Now that E's engaged, Turtle's knee deep into starting his life and Drama is purportedly trying to start up his own show, Vince is all alone and driven into work. He needs the freedom a new hair -- and seemingly, a new motorcycle -- affords. Maybe a last oat he needs to sow before finally settling down.
